Looking for a venue outside the office?
Devonport Guildhall provides a unique backdrop for your business event. With various sized spaces, a professional team and equipment to help your event run smoothly, our venue is a popular choice for a wide range of clients. What’s more? The Main Hall
Our largest room, the Main Hall can accommodate a range of events. Located on the first floor, it has direct access to the front steps and easy lift access. In addition to free WIFI, the hall has a fully integrated BOSE sound system and AV facilities can be set up in advance of your event.
The Mayor’s Parlour
Though still extremely spacious, our Mayor’s Parlour is perfect for a more intimate event. Popular for meetings, presentations and networking, the Parlour can also be used as a break-out space for large events. Based on the first floor, the room offers lift access, integrated AV facilities and free WIFI.
The Meeting Room
For a small and more formal setting, our Meeting Room is the perfect option for you. Located on the ground floor, the room can comfortably seat up to 12 delegates. The room has free WIFI and a projector is available on request.
A more quirky and unique space, the Cells are reminiscent of the building’s fascinating history. Ideal for smaller meetings and as a break-out space, the Cells’ largest section can seat up to 8 people comfortably. There are an additional two smaller Cells, available as extra break-out spaces.

Column Bakehouse, our in-house artisan bakery, can cater for your event. Using locally-sourced ingredients to create fresh food on site, the Bakehouse can offer a range of packages to meet your requirements – from light refreshments to buffet lunches and afternoon tea.
Lunch buffet prices start from just £5.00* per head, and include a variety of sandwich fillings with our award-winning bread, fresh salads, nibbles and delicious dessert options. Parties and functions
Looking for a unique venue for a personal event? Whether celebrating a birthday or arranging a gathering, Devonport Guildhall can cater for you. All our rooms are available, though two spaces are most suitable for personal hire. Inclusive in the hire charge is use of chairs and tables (round, trestle), which we can arrange according to your preferences. We have a list of equipment available to hire and additionally offer bar and drink services.
Our Main Hall is a beautifully spacious room, which can hold a capacity of 200 people. With a high ceiling, stained-glass windows and inbuilt stage, the hall is a stunning location for gatherings, parties and more. The Mayor’s Parlour is lined with comfy vintage sofas, complete with large sash windows through which you can glimpse the River Tamar. The room can hold up to 70 people, with a relaxed but impressive atmosphere.

Parking and Access
Devonport Guildhall does have free parking in very close proximity to the building. Located in a residential area, however, we ask those driving to our venue to be mindful of local residents when parking. We have full disabled access via the rear entrance, as well as disabled toilet facilities and lift access. To promote healthy and economical travel, we have a bike rack inside where you can leave your bikes safely if you choose to cycle to us. For more information of where you can park please click here.
The Events Team are also on hand to help with your event, providing information, guidance and a personal service. Please find the team at reception in the office, located near the rear of the building.
