June’s eagerly awaited Column Acoustic sees a return to its standard indoor evening format, but with a lot of new acts just announced. Headlining this month is the Black Feathers. Having performed their debut show in May 2012, they have since been touring the country and singing songs to an eager audience of love, life and death. How do they sound?

“The Black Feathers is the result of a combination of English folk influences, some Irish heritage, and a large splash of Americana inspiration, all held together with close Bluegrass harmonies.” So something for every musical taste!

It’s a night crammed with good music, good food and great all-round entertainment. You can satisfy your hunger with a delightful vegetarian sweet potato dish from 6:30pm. Music kicks off at 7pm, and doesn’t stop until 11pm! That’s four hours of music, and with the café staying open until 9pm, it leaves you with plenty of time to get your fill of the hearty food.

That leaves 6 musical acts performing in various rooms in the building (the café and Parlour) before the headliners even grace the stage. The bar will be serving our very own Column Ale, as well as the usual tipples. See you there!
